Review of A Queen Betrayed A Queen Betrayed is a gripping tale of love, betrayal, and the devastating consequences of unchecked ambition and secrecy. The novel explores the intricate dynamics between a king, his queen, and the concubine whose presence not only shatters a royal marriage but also leads to the fall of an entire citadel. The story begins with a seemingly strong bond between the king and queen, but their relationship is tested when the king, driven by mysterious motives, brings a concubine into the royal household. What makes this tale particularly compelling is the web of secrecy surrounding the king’s decision. His refusal to reveal his ultimate plan to the queen creates a chasm between them, one that deepens with every passing moment. The queen’s dethronement and subsequent divorce are heart-wrenching to witness. Her resilience, however, shines through as she forges a new path by remarrying another king, reclaiming a sense of power and agency. This arc of reinvention adds depth to her character and provides a strong counterbalance to the betrayal she endures. Meanwhile, the concubine is a fascinating and enigmatic figure. Her relationship with the king, guided by magic and shadowed by treachery, is a central thread in the narrative. Through her, the novel delves into themes of manipulation and the darker side of human desire. The use of magic adds a mythical dimension to the story, as it becomes both a tool for power and a harbinger of destruction. The climax is both tragic and riveting, as the king’s secrecy and the concubine’s ambition ultimately bring down the citadel. The fall of the city serves as a metaphor for the consequences of betrayal and the fragility of trust in relationships. The vivid descriptions of the citadel’s collapse and the ensuing chaos are some of the novel’s most powerful moments. What sets A Queen Betrayed apart is its exploration of complex characters and the consequences of their actions. The queen’s strength, the king’s flaws, and the concubine’s cunning make for a rich and layered narrative. The story raises questions about loyalty, ambition, and the price of power, leaving the reader with much to ponder long after the final page. Overall, A Queen Betrayed is a masterfully written tale that combines political intrigue, emotional depth, and a touch of the fantastical. It’s a must-read for fans of epic dramas and stories that delve into the intricacies of human relationships and their far-reaching consequences.

I love/hate this story. I would love to see this story as a series on TV. I love the different character voices, the plot, and the mystery surrounding Prince Henry. I don't like the idea of kings being able to bed as many women as they want and not giving one thought to the feelings of their wives. He may want an heir, but did he ever think that maybe his supermarket is bad.

This series was amazing. A series filled with intrigue, magic, mystery, betrayal, love found etc. I loved 😍 it. It was well written. I was always eager to listen to it each day. The queen got back to her feet after everything, I like her. Although I didn't like her thoughts and feelings 👀 towards the end but it all worked out. I totally recommend. P.S: It would be amazing if this is turned into a movie or series. I'd definitely watch it.

This is hands down one of the best stories on Pocketfm from start to finish and I have listened to tens of stories here. The voice actor and the narration is breathtaking and to hear actual male and female voices for the characters and their voice quality and accent is just perfect for the story's era.. The story itself reflects the complexity and politics in an era where having kings and queens is the norm, you start to hate some characters and then you love them and hate others that you loved, all can make mistakes and no character is perfect, such a rollercoaster of emotions, the feelings of love, betrayal, loss, hopelessness, vindication, etc.. If you want to enjoy and listen to a complete story, this is the one, a must listen.

I love the story but the ending is very tragic. I would have love the her to go back to the first husband because all this started because of power Henry Wanted and other duke . If they have not planted Rose in his way and also we head there is a power in her hair by persuade men. I am really sad especially how the first king regretted all that he did .
