I loved it until the end. The ending felt like the author got tired of writing and just ended it. Did she figure out he was James? Did he get his memory back? Why wasn’t a reunion with their children had? What happened with the king? I hope at some point the ending is rewritten to answer these questions.

*** ADD to your READING LIST*** WELL WRITTEN and intriguing story! Yes, there are MINOR occasional mispronunciations and grammatical errors, but I promise they won't overshadow the storyline. I recommend you give this Story a Listen!

I am loving this love-hate relationship. 😅😅 James can't let go of Eleanor. 😅😅 And called his love and care for her his duty, responsibility, and a display in front of the public. 😅😅 I am just waiting for the time when James realizes his feelings for Eleanor and what he will do to make her reciprocate his feelings.

I love modern medicine techniques being introduced to the Middle Ages. I feel Ellie was experimenting on the General by performing a limb reattachment as a nurse , but Im happy with the outcome. I like the improvements in her marriage to Prince James 🤴 💗

The vicious schemes against one couple from many factions is interesting. Why three women are breaking the heart of one man 💔. As for Eleanor she can't expect a man to love her if she's not willing to share his bed. She's just as wrong as James.

It’s so frustrating when a movie ends like that! It feels like you’re building up to this huge climax, and then—boom—it just cuts off, right in the middle of the action, especially during something as intense as a war. No closure, no resolution. It’s like they forgot the last act or were just setting up for a sequel, but it leaves you hanging, feeling like you only got part of the story. Definitely not satisfying, right

Ratied 5 star, BUT A BIG FAT ZERO for the ending😡😡😡 It was a great story, captivating, strong supporting characters, nice cliff hangers and suspense. (But it is incomplete and somehow the ending reminded me of Game of Thrones…. Why did I invest so much time listening and at the end ti be given nonsensical ridiculous ending with soo many strings hanging as if Charlotte webs were brought over. It would’ve been better if they said that the author could not finish, hence the reader can project their own ending.

Absolutely enthralling story line! The characters keep you captivated! Ellie is intelligent and heroic, where Narissa is evil and vengeful. There are richly drawn characters and intricate plot twists, it kept me on the edge of their seat. If you are historical fiction enthusiasts it is a must-read.
