Three weeks after his wife’s funeral, Kabir finds a letter hidden inside an old book. It was never meant for him. Written years before their marriage, the letter is addressed to another man—and inside it is a promise that was never kept. At first, Kabir assumes it is a piece of forgotten history. Something from his wife’s life before they met. But the deeper he looks, the harder it becomes to separate the past from the marriage they shared. Memories begin shifting in meaning. Small silences feel heavier. Ordinary moments start revealing strange gaps he never noticed before. Was their life together built on a choice she fully believed in—or on a promise she quietly abandoned? And if love can grow from a broken promise, does that make the love less real… or the promise impossible to forgive?
