A servant girl, invisible for twenty-two years, suddenly finds herself at the center of a pack ceremony when an impossible bond ignites within her. Sera, a 'Hollow' without a wolf, is inexplicably linked to Kael Voss, the formidable Alpha of the Ironjaw pack, a man who has fiercely rejected every match for a decade. As the ancient bond pulses with a power she never knew she possessed, Kael publicly shatters her world with a brutal rejection, yet the connection refuses to break. With her brother Jasper ready to defy an Alpha for her honor, and a mysterious force stirring beneath the very stones she kneels on, Sera must confront a destiny far greater and more dangerous than her quiet life ever promised. Can a bond rejected by an Alpha, and scorned by a pack, truly hold the key to an ancient power?

The plot is interesting with a catching mystery. Generally, the story seems well-written except for an extreme overuse of the descriptive phrasing "It was X. Not Y. Not Z. But X". There are no sound effects, which I think is good; the story and writing can stand alone without such. The narrator, virtual voice, is very monotone and puts sudden pauses into sentences - it's annoying to listen to.
