Seventy years after the Greyfall, Earth now belongs to the mysterious machine race. A portion of humanity survives underground in Meridian Vault City, clinging to rations, rules, and the faint hope of Awakening Day, when teenagers might ignite a talent strong enough to earn a future topside. Unfortunately, Eli Kade has no future to gamble. He’s a broke senior high student raising his little brother, working himself raw just to keep their ration credits from running out. So, when his talent awakens as F-rank Metal Reinforcement, the laughter and mockery from his peers feels like a death sentence. But that night, something answers him from the void, awakening a power long hidden in his soul! Eli’s true gifts finally awaken, one being the amazing SSS-rank Metal Affinity and a ‘???” Rank talent called Metal Devour, letting him consume machine race alloys to evolve beyond the current limits of humanity. In a world where machines made of metal ruled the surface, Eli was about to become their master!

this is some of the best scripted narration that I've ever heard! a bit of a slow burn, but fantastic story pacing, all the same. well explained world, and fantastic narrative dialog. 🥷🏽👍🏽

I think the author is awesome and the storyline is great. The only flaw is that the narration could use a little work. Personally this story isn’t much for me but I’m happy that the author isn’t using a virtual voice.

I like the story in general but I couldn't give it true 5 star. if it had multiple different voices that allowed you to know right away that a woman or a man was actually speaking then it would be and absolute 5 star. but overall great storyline

(im gonna try not to add spoilers) I'm truly enjoying the show. I like the characters and the plot with all the details given to describe the areas aswell as people. I just want to give my opinion on something that bothers me just a little and if this gets fixed or not ill still be listening because its realy good. sometimes its TO DETAILED. An example is when teacher lans are training the kids and you give us and explanation of what's going on inside his head about how to torture and crush their spirits, then right after that every individual kid gets their own (in detail) explanations of exactly the same outcome but from their point of view. Giving detailed layout about the areas I really enjoy cause then I get a better scope. but doing so for 5 minutes straight then giving the characters 2 lines to say just to jump back on 5 minutes of explanations is just a little much sometimes. keep up the good work. looking forward to the rest 4 star. still negotiable.
