For centuries, humanity has hunted the Fae, burning their ancient forests and clipping their wings in the name of a zealous God. Kaelen, a Pix whose own wings were severed, has spent his life enduring the brutal human world, secretly honing forbidden magic taught by his defiant grandparents. He carries the weight of his people's suffering and a devastating secret: a hidden realm between worlds, a network of portals that could turn the tide of a war no one else believes is coming. Now, with the fanatical Archbishop Malachai poised to launch a total extermination of all Fae, Kaelen must unleash the army he has secretly forged in the shadows. But can a broken people, armed with ancient magic and a thirst for vengeance, truly stand against an empire built on iron and fire, or will their desperate gamble only hasten their final demise?
