LAS VEGAS RUNS ON LUCK. LUCK RUNS ON SOMETHING ELSE. Seventeen-year-old Alicia thought the streets of Vegas were the most dangerous thing she’d ever have to survive. She was wrong. After aging out of foster care and running from a life that never felt like hers, Alicia lives invisible beneath the neon glow — busking, hustling, sleeping wherever security doesn’t look too hard. But Vegas isn’t just a city of chance. Beneath the casinos and crowds, an unseen system moves, ancient and precise, where every jackpot, miracle, and stroke of good fortune is paid for by someone else. Each casino is controlled by a different force — fallen angels, wish-brokers, probability architects — beings who harvest human emotion to keep the city’s supernatural economy balanced. Wins and losses aren’t random. They’re engineered. And Alicia can see the threads. What begins as a strange sensitivity turns into something far more dangerous: she can touch the system, nudge it, disrupt it. But every time she interferes, the cost doesn’t disappear — it shifts. Now the entities that run Vegas are watching. To them, Alicia isn’t a girl. She’s an anomaly. A glitch. A variable that shouldn’t exist. As factions maneuver to control or erase her, Alicia is forced to decide: survive quietly… or challenge the system that profits from human suffering. Because in a city built on risk, the biggest gamble isn’t money. It’s rewriting the rules. Vegas Syndicate is a dark, psychological urban fantasy series about power, survival, and the hidden price of luck — where the house always wins… unless someone learns how to change the odds.
