The wrong people. The wrong century. Exactly who the future needs. When an eighteen-year-old New York history enthusiast awakens aboard a damaged starship thousands of light-years from human civilization, he discovers he's been placed in command of the most unlikely crew imaginable: a Roman military officer, a Victorian engineer, and a brilliant Renaissance diplomat—all pulled from different eras of human history. Owen Hart knows history better than almost anyone his age. Unfortunately, knowing how civilizations survived their greatest crises is very different from commanding a spaceship. With a mysterious AI withholding critical information, an unfamiliar galaxy full of dangers, and a crew that has little reason to trust him—or one another—Owen must somehow turn these extraordinary strangers into a team capable of surviving the impossible. But as they uncover clues about their mysterious disappearance, a far more troubling question begins to emerge: Why were these particular people chosen, and who—or what—really brought them here? Blending science-fiction adventure, suspense, historical perspectives, clever humor, and an unfolding mystery, The Worst Crew in History follows an unlikely crew whose greatest weaknesses may prove to be their most unexpected strengths.
