The Unkillable Jinx

Caleb Hawthorne has been dodging death since the day he was born — flowerpots, runaway vans, collapsing ceilings, nothing has managed to kill "The Jinx" yet. So when a system interface flickers to life in a hospital elevator and drags all of humanity into a worldwide survival game, Caleb isn't scared. He's used to this. Sorted into a haunted, abandoned middle school alongside his oldest friend Julian and a terrified repairman named Fatty, Caleb is forced to pose as a teacher for twenty-nine vengeful student ghosts, uncover the decade-old massacre that created them, and free a trapped little spirit from a curse before her rage burns the building — and everyone in it — to ash. He survives. He always does. But somewhere in the fine print of this new, deadly game, one uncomfortable truth is becoming clear: Caleb isn't just playing along for the ride. The Game itself is watching him.
