Nineteen-year-old Zed V Power is an orphan, a rebel, and officially the lowest-ranked fire user to ever graduate from Nenavara District Academy. He hates mandatory assemblies, fake goodbyes, and speeches about wonderful futures, especially when his own future seems destined for mediocrity. But on graduation day, a shocking revelation about his aptitude for both Magic and Military throws his carefully constructed cynicism into chaos. With a world of advanced technology, ancient magic, and looming expectations, Zed must navigate a path he never imagined, alongside the only friend who believes in him. Can a defiant, underperforming mage truly rise to become the Supreme Fire Mage he dreams of, or will the weight of his past failures extinguish his newfound hope?
