Long ago, the Seven Primal Beasts nearly shattered the world. The Primal Dragon won, and its descendants built the Dragon Kingdom upon that victory. Levi was supposed to be just another forgotten villager on the edge of the Outlands. Then the Kingdom's Bloodline Screening came to Blackwood. His family died. A dragon-shaped brand remained. And a child's promise of revenge began to rot into something far more dangerous. When the cultivation world rejects him for the hatred in his heart, Levi awakens as the son of the Primal Serpent—the Dragon's ancient antithesis. His senses sharpen, his strength grows, and a whisper begins to follow him: Kill. To reach the killers who destroyed his home, Levi must enter a world of sects, bloodlines, and immortal power. The question is no longer whether he can take revenge. It is whether he can survive becoming the thing revenge is turning him into.

The main character is violent, dark and driven. The world of magic and fantasy is a great vehicle for his journey towards strength and power. Everything I'm looking for in a story.

It's a good story, with a compelling and nuanced MC. My only issue is that, at least at the start, it lacks a "promise", meaning there isn't any grand image for the future to hook the reader. The "let's kill the emperor" goal feels rather vague and not that exciting enough. World building has same issue - it's getting revealed too slow, as we learn about it together with the "lived in a tree all my life" MC. It's like, I know the story should be good because MC is good, but I also doubt it due to lack of everything else.

Story is really nicely written and narration is well done. Can’t wait for season two, hope it’s out soon.
