This is a story of Noah Thorne, a new soldier in the military, who works at the border-outpost. One evening, Noah returns to his outpost, only to find that it has been attacked and all his comrades are burned alive. Overcome with rage over the loss of his comrades, Noah swears to avenge their deaths and kill the attackers. On his journey, he meets Victoria Grant, a special ops agent working for the Phantom Rangers Corps, an elite military faction that Noah hopes to join someday. A special bond develops between the two lost soldiers as they together battle the enemy troops and find their way back to their country, crossing dangerous terrains and enduring harsh weather. Thanks to his friendship with Victoria, Noah gets into the military academy, where he is initially not accepted as a worthy candidate. Noah starts out as a lowly chef at the military canteen, and works his way up the ranks by training in secret and proving his worth. This story is a classic hero's journey set in the world of the US military, packed with action, drama, political espionage, and, of course, romance.

I would’ve given it a higher rating but… Great subject that’s told in a very clever and well thought out way. But why in the world would you stop it midway through the story??? Why only 310 chapters?? So confusing and frustrating!!
