Daly (16 years old) is a calm boy with a brilliantly analytical mind who lives in Guadalajara, Jalisco. His life changes drastically when his grandfather is attacked by the Black Sun Sect, an ancient and dangerous mystical organization colluding with drug traffickers and the highest levels of government. Before being captured, his grandfather gives Daly a dull iron ring. The artifact doesn't grant traditional magical powers, but rather operates according to the laws of thermodynamics: it is the only key capable of activating or destroying the Crucible, an ancient weapon that could superheat and evaporate the planet. To save the world and destroy the key, Daly embarks on a survival journey by bicycle of over 9,000 kilometers from Mexico to the end of the world in Argentina.
