Six elite operators thought they knew what they were fighting. They were wrong. After a mission goes horribly wrong, the six find themselves hunted by the very people they once hunted—an unstoppable horde of undead that refuses to die. Disarmed, scattered, and cut off from everything they know, the operators have only one choice: run. From abandoned cities to fortified compounds, from dark forests to places they thought were safe, Marcus and Cross fight to stay alive as their comrades fall one by one. But something is wrong. No matter where they go, the undead follows. They aren't wandering aimlessly. They're searching. And whatever they're looking for seems to be connected to the six operators. With every escape, Marcus and Cross uncover fragments of a terrifying truth—one that turns everything they believed about the outbreak upside down. Because the question is no longer how to stop the undead. It's— What do they want?
