In the isolated village of Oakhaven, where the Ironspire Mountains swallow the sun each night and the Shade touched prowl beyond fragile wards, blacksmith’s son Kaelen lives for the safety of fire while mysterious apothecary apprentice Elara finds comfort in the hush of moonlight. On the night of the Equinox of the Twin Spirits, a catastrophic surge of celestial power marks them both, branding Kaelen with blazing sunfire and Elara with chilling lunar energy that awakens ancient forces long believed to have abandoned the world. As panic spreads and dark creatures gather at the borders, the two unlikely opposites discover they are bound by a power greater than fear, forced to master rival gifts that could either save the Borderlands or unravel everything they have ever known.
