The Man Behind the Pizza Everyone knows Tony Bellini. For twenty-seven years, he’s stood behind the counter of Bellini’s Pizzeria—making dough before sunrise, arguing with his children, and serving the same neighbourhood customers who think they know everything about him. They don’t. Because before Tony Bellini was the pizza man, he was someone else. The Chairman. A name once whispered throughout the criminal underworld. A man powerful enough that Mafia bosses answered to him—and feared enough that, even decades later, some still refuse to speak his name. Tony buried that life twenty-five years ago. His children know nothing about it. And that’s exactly how he intends to keep it. Until three young gangsters walk into Bellini’s demanding protection money. They think they’ve chosen an easy target. They have no idea whose counter they’re standing in front of. What begins as a simple threat soon drags Tony’s past back toward the family he sacrificed everything to protect. And someone has been waiting a very long time for him. The Man Behind the Pizza — a slow-burning Mafia thriller about family, loyalty, buried secrets, and a seemingly ordinary father whose children are about to discover that they never really knew him at all.
