But beneath the surface of their technologically advanced world, something ancient and impossible stirs, something our instruments cannot detect and our history books never mention. A construction specialist, a man of ordinary life, feels a strange vibration and touches a wall, only to glimpse a vast, perfectly constructed corridor buried impossibly deep, ending in a door that seems to wait.
