Abandoned at a Greyhound station with only a cold sandwich and a Job Corps envelope, Symone faces a future she never chose, her heart aching from a family's deliberate farewell. As she navigates the sterile halls of her new life, every step is a battle against the crushing weight of loneliness and the bitter sting of rejection. But just as she resigns herself to a solitary path, a mysterious encounter in a quiet stairwell ignites a flicker of unexpected connection. Can a single, unnamed stranger offer a lifeline in a world that feels determined to leave her adrift, or is this just another fleeting moment in a journey she must ultimately walk alone?
