Victor Bayne is a PsyCop, a psychic medium who relies on an anti-psyactive drug, Auracel, to silence the constant chatter of the dead. After his partner retires, a steamy encounter with charismatic Detective Jacob Marks sparks a complicated romance. Victor's life spirals as he tackles bizarre cases, including a silent ghost and a soul-sucking incubus targeting Jacob. He navigates a revolving door of partners, one of whom is secretly psychic, and another who is part of a conspiracy to kidnap mediums. Pulled into a dark supernatural underground, Victor must confront his addiction, his traumatic past, and his growing feelings for Jacob, who may be the only person he can trust in a world where even the dead have agendas.
