A black car idles, engine running, waiting as children spill from school gates, oblivious to the predator in their midst. Jide, a diligent boy burdened by poverty, dreams of a scholarship to lift his family from hardship, his future hanging by a thread. But when a stranger in a French suit, claiming to be from the Ministry of Education, offers him that very chance, the promise feels less like salvation and more like a snare. Driven miles from the city into the unsettling quiet of the outskirts, Jide's initial hope curdles into a chilling dread. This man knows too much, his words too smooth, his intentions shrouded in an unsettling mystery. What twisted game is this stranger playing, and what price will Jide pay for a scholarship that feels increasingly like a pact with the devil?
