A biology grad student wakes up on the pitch-black Cambrian ocean floor, not as a human, but as a half-inch trilobite larva. Evan Woods, once ridiculed for his radical theories, now finds himself literally ancient history, a tiny prey in a world of primordial predators. But this isn't just a bizarre reincarnation; he possesses an impossible ability to control his own cellular evolution, to reshape his form at will. In an era where life itself is an experiment, Evan must not only survive but ascend, transforming from a humble bottom-feeder into something the world has never seen. Can a creature from the future rewrite the past, or will the crushing depths of time consume his impossible ambition?
