My Story With a Star

A young immigrant-a recent industrial engineering graduate-decides to leave his country for a time, feeling trapped by a lack of opportunities and his father's constant criticism. Armed with a tourist visa allowing for a six-month stay in the United States, he travels to New York with meager savings and the hope of working as a waiter and bartender while seeking a chance to advance his professional career. Little does he know that this decision will lead to a chance encounter with Sophie Smith, a rising actress, model, and singer. What begins as an unexpected friendship evolves into a romantic relationship subjected to pressures neither of them could have imagined. As the world begins to pass judgment on him, the two decide to make a film to prove that the truth can be far more complex than the story the internet chooses to tell.
