Rowan died knowing one thing for certain. Nobody would care. Beaten to death in an alley and abandoned by the world he grew up in, he expected darkness. Instead, he opened his eyes as a newborn. A new world. A new family. A second chance. And something impossible living inside him. The Biological Adaptation System. When foreign biological material enters Rowan's body, the System can analyse it, offering him the chance to integrate the traits of other creatures into his own biology. Sharper senses. Predatory coordination. Accelerated recovery. Abilities no ordinary human should possess. But evolution comes with a price. Every adaptation physically reconstructs his body. Every integration carries a survival probability. Choose the wrong creature, take the wrong risk, and the power meant to make Rowan stronger could kill him from the inside. So Rowan learns. He hunts. He trains. He adapts. And for the first time in either of his lives, he has something worth protecting. But this new world is far more dangerous than he imagined. Monsters stalk the wilderness. Magic and steel decide who survives. And when violence tears apart the life Rowan thought he had finally earned, survival is no longer enough. He wants answers. He wants strength. And eventually, he wants the people responsible. In a world where humanity survives by hunting monsters, Rowan has one terrifying advantage. Every monster he survives might contain the biology he needs to become something stronger. The question isn't whether Rowan can evolve. It's how much of himself he'll risk to do it.
