Everyone who loved her called her Sadie. Her case file reads Sarah Marie Ryan. Ten years ago, nine-year-old Sadie went fishing at Lake Willow and never came home. Her mother, Lisa, blamed herself, broke down, and spent the next ten years in a psychiatric hospital. Now Lisa has escaped and returned to Willow's Creek. She digs up her daughter's body, brings her home, and begins seeing Sadie's ghost as if she were still alive. Then the men who killed Sadie begin turning up dead — one by one. Each body carries her photograph and a chilling count. Someone knows there were five of them at the lake that morning. Detective Renee Daniel failed to solve Sadie's murder ten years ago. Now she must catch the avenger before the count reaches five. Who killed Sadie? And who is killing her killers?
