When mediocre monster hunter Elias Greeves falls in love with Ceraphine, the ancient vampire he was sent to kill, he loses his license, his reputation, and any chance at a normal career. Now declared a rogue by the Monster Hunter’s Academy, Elias joins Ceraphine as an independent hunter, taking strange supernatural cases where the monster is rarely what it seems. Together they face vampires, werewolves, ghosts, curses, ancient creatures, and the hunters pursuing them, while trying to make a very inconvenient romance between a mortal monster hunter and an immortal vampire actually work.
