Eventually, opportunity arrived when he secured a job in a brewery company as a marketing evaluator. Though the job brought stability, internal conflicts and threats forced him to resign. Rather than giving up, Adekunle created his own opportunities. He started a piggery farm and later opened a shoe and bag making workshop, proving that determination can build doors where none exist. During this period, Adekunle met Dolapsy, an intelligent university student from a wealthy background studying Agricultural Economics. Despite their different backgrounds, they fell in love. Their relationship was built on respect, and Adekunle made a rare promise—to wait until their wedding night before any physical intimacy. But unexpectedly, the relationship ended. One day Dolapsy appeared in his home and simply said, “Adekunle… it’s over.” She left without explanation. The heartbreak devastated him. Adekunle lost weight, could not eat or sleep, and rumors spread that he had become seriously ill. In reality, he was suffering from deep emotional pain. Slowly, he began to recover.
