Immortal Confessions

For two millennia, Lucien Valerius has walked among mortals, a creature forged in the fires of ancient Rome, hunted by emperors and sorcerers alike. He welcomed death once, only to become something far more terrifying: a vampire, not of myth, but of a lineage older than mankind itself. Now, as he recounts his impossible existence, he reveals the true, brutal origin of his kind, a secret whispered by something that fed before fire. From a simple blacksmith's son to a being who watched empires crumble and loved women whose names became myths, Lucien has buried every friend and fought creatures even vampires fear. But when his mentor, one of the First, offers him an agonizing choice—become an apprentice or become a meal—Lucien's humanity shatters. What confessions will he make when immortality's greatest burden isn't death, but memory itself?
