Imagine Land

A normal high school student, Leo, is suddenly burdened with the core of a dying star and the impossible task of protecting Earth from parasitic shadow-entities known as the Umbra. He battles interdimensional monsters in alleyways and sewers, all while trying to pass AP Calculus and keep his best friend, Sam, and his crush, Maya, from discovering his secret. Every missed assignment, every strained lie, pushes him closer to a breaking point as the veil between worlds thins. Can Leo save humanity without losing his own, increasingly fragile, reality?
