The Last Issue: Dead in Ink is a dark and terrifying horror story about an aspiring comic artist, Arjun Mehta, who dreams of becoming famous but constantly faces rejection because publishers say his drawings “lack life.” One rainy night, Arjun discovers a mysterious comic shop called Black Panel Comics, a place that seems to exist outside reality. Inside, he meets a strange and unsettling old shopkeeper who gives him a blank, black comic book and calls it “the last issue.” When Arjun opens the comic, he realizes something impossible and horrifying—the comic is drawing itself, and it is telling his story in real time. Every action he takes appears on the next page. Soon, he discovers he is not alone. A terrifying faceless entity called The Reader lives inside the comic. This creature does not just read stories—it consumes the creators themselves, turning their bodies and souls into ink and trapping them inside comic pages forever. Arjun tries to escape, but the shop has no exit. He is forced to draw the final page of the comic himself. But instead of freedom… He draws his own destruction. In the end, Arjun becomes part of the comic and replaces the old shopkeeper, cursed to wait for the next victim—another innocent artist. The Reader remains hungry. Watching. Waiting. Reading.
