One moment, Cole Ashford is a cynical ex-employee, clicking 'Yes' on a spam pop-up out of spite. The next, a mysterious package arrives, containing a sleek briefcase, a transparent mask, and a very real, very loaded handgun. His world shatters when a cryptic notice declares his resume approved for "Special Risk Management" and informs him he's about to be transported to a "Dying World." His mission: protect a client through the initial stages of the apocalypse. With a burning paper and a bullet hole in his ceiling, Cole is thrust into a reality far stranger than any job search. Will this reluctant hero survive a world on the brink, or will his first mission be his last?
