Memoirs of a Wizard

If you’re wondering who I am, let’s get that out of the way before someone else tells it worse. My name’s Kazriel Morthane. Most people just call me Kaz. I’m a freelance wizard, ex-Bureau contractor, Riftborn, and according to several magical watchlists, a walking magical incident. I was one of the first humans to survive direct contact with the Rift Between Worlds, and now I carry a sliver of that beautiful, horrible energy inside me. It makes me powerful. It also makes me dangerous, unstable, and about as welcome in polite society as a fart in a spellcircle. Also: I’m sarcastic, tired, and not in the mood for Bureau politics at four in the morning.
