At 28, Allison “Al” returns to her small hometown of Lake Butler, Florida, after a painful divorce and losing her restaurant to her ex-husband. Coming home means facing her past, including Beau, a childhood friend and one of the “Clover Kids,” her tight-knit friend group from her teen years. Allison grew up on her father’s farm as the only girl in a group of four friends, and now she must navigate the complicated dynamics that remain. Returning home isn’t just about confronting old relationships—it’s about confronting old secrets. Years ago, the mayor’s son, Tommy, vanished under mysterious circumstances, and those buried memories begin to resurface. Meanwhile, Beau, a fellow clover kid, now works for Allisons father as a live in farm hand, making their interactions unavoidable and charged with tension. As she tries to rebuild her life, she finds that returning home is as much about facing herself as it is about confronting the town and people she thought she had left behind.
