Love finds Millicent after escaping from the sea. Due to the schemes of the royal family she finds her self in the human world were she meets the grumpy and cold face Andrew Ridgewood whose daughter is under a deadly curse , the two are forced to cohabitate after his daughter grows fond of her and refuses to be separated from her. Even with their differences they fall in love , but this love is not without its challenges as outside forces threaten to end their happiness.
