Some houses remember you. Others never let you forget. Mara Ellingson was once a celebrated detective—sharp, intuitive, unshakable. But after a nervous breakdown and a blank stretch of lost time, she walked away from everything. The only thing more fractured than her memory is her belief in what’s real. When a cryptic letter arrives with no return address—only a location she doesn’t recognize and five chilling words—You’ve been here before—Mara follows a hunch she can’t explain to a forgotten estate in a fog-choked countryside. The manor is empty… and alive. Rooms change when she looks away. Time slips in hallways that shouldn’t exist. And in the stillness, something watches. Each step through the house uncovers pieces of a past she doesn’t recall—glimpses of a child, a case gone wrong, and whispers of someone else’s grief. But the more she remembers, the less she trusts herself. Because Mara didn’t just visit this place. She may never have left. And whatever walks these halls wants her to finish what she started—whether she remembers it or not. To know more, listen to 'Memory Is a Ghost' only on Pocket FM!
