In the Ramayana, "Vaali" is the king of Kishkindha and a great warrior. He received a boon granting him half of the strength of his opponents in battle. Veeranna named his son after Vaali, hoping that his son would receive a similar boon and become as powerful as the legendary Vaali. In the village of Kamarigudda, the ordinary Vaali, unlike his namesake, dreamed of becoming a great martial artist. However, being born into a small family, his path seemed destined to be different.
