A God's Vengeance
Scene 2. A tender breakfast. Hades meticulously peels a pomegranate for Persephone, complaining good-naturedly about the seeds. Their banter is light and loving, filled with inside jokes about the dead and the living. He's a doting husband, almost comically so. Scene 3. Persephone prepares for her annual visit to Demeter. Hades fusses over her cloak, warns her about the 'terrible sun,' and makes her promise to send him daily shadow-grams.
