Every night at midnight, for exactly sixty seconds, the world stops—no sound, no movement, not even the wind stirs. Most people black out and remember nothing, but seventeen-year-old Cass survives wide awake, untouched in the frozen world. She’s not alone. This year, she meets others like her, and together, they discover that what happens during the “Pulse” might decide the fate of everyone once the world resumes.
