Mara Vale thought her life was ordinary — a quiet job, a small flat, familiar streets, and carefully kept routines. Then a hidden system activates, one that only she can see. It watches her choices, measures her emotions, and quietly reshapes the world around her. When Mara meets Rowan Blackwell, a man tied to a secret organisation that monitors magical anomalies, the system becomes more intrusive. It tracks their connection. It interferes with their decisions. And it treats human attachment as a problem that needs to be managed. As Mara is pulled deeper into a hidden world beneath modern London — one governed by unseen rules, quiet power, and dangerous truths — she must decide whether to obey the system that claims to protect her… or fight back against something that was never meant to control her heart. Some forces want order. Some want power. And some are afraid of what happens when people choose each other anyway.
