The world is not what it seems. To most, these systems are unknowable. To a cursed few, they are visible. To master them is to wield power beyond imagination but such knowledge is never given freely. It is taken, and it always exacts a price. This is the story of a nameless narrator, a restless soul haunted by visions of patterns and whispers in the dark. Her guide, or perhaps her tormentor, is Blake, a shadowed figure whose eyes burn with secrets too ancient to name. Together, they navigate a world where superpowers are not blessings but fragments of the system’s corruption abilities born from bargains, sacrifices, and scars carved into the soul. In a realm plagued by Custodians, wardens of the systems who enforce order with blood and silence, Blake and the narrator become outcasts. They are not heroes; they are broken things with a chance to shatter the world.
