What no one knows is that when Daniel sleeps, he doesn’t dream. He goes somewhere else. Each class period pulls him deeper into a place with its own rules, its own consequences, and its own sense of time. The longer he resists sleep, the worse the pull becomes. And every time he wakes up, a little more time is missing. As the school day continues, Daniel must figure out why this is happening and what will occur if one day, he doesn’t wake up before the bell.
