It was only a short time ago when Alexander Cain was regarded as the most powerful war god of a nation. Presently, he is bound to a wheelchair and referred to as a "live-in son-in-law." His wife, Evelyn Carter, herself is a brilliant yet embattled heiress who has inherited a battle against family favoritism and company betrayals. As a divorce demand from Evelyn comes after a hard-fought battle against the severest schemes to lose all the companies she has created, Alexander vows to her and her dreams. Behind this quiet demeanor lies the determination of a warrior. As he begins regaining strength, Alexander will have to fight off against his opponents from the battlefield and from within the family as he tries to grasp a hold of love that he never believed possible.
