For three years, Klous has endured endless humiliation, a silent punching bag for his wife's family, branded a useless leech in a borrowed apron. He scrubs floors, cooks meals, and swallows every insult, counting down the days until his forced marriage ends. But beneath the facade of a broken man lies a hidden power, a secret he's been ordered to bury. When a child's life hangs in the balance, and the city's most powerful man begs for a miracle, Klous steps forward, offering a solution no one expects. His mother-in-law's fury erupts, but a flicker of life in the dying boy shatters the silence, revealing a strength Klous can no longer conceal. Will this impossible act reclaim his dignity, or unleash a destiny far more dangerous than anyone could imagine?

This is a good story. The narrator captures and holds your attention. I don’t know if it is deliberate but there are voice sounds that come through while the story is being narrated and the individuals in the story are giving different names.
