Mia Chen, a perennial ensemble player, never expected to see her name next to the lead role on the cast list for Oakridge High's biggest production. But when the impossible happens, she's thrust into the spotlight, not just as the star, but as the unexpected rival to the school's reigning drama queen, Vanessa Cho. As the tension between them crackles, Mia finds herself caught in a new kind of drama, one that involves the golden boy of the theater department, Eli Marsh, whose knowing gaze suggests a connection far deeper than just shared lines. Can Mia navigate the cutthroat world of high school theater and the undeniable pull of a forbidden attraction, or will her sudden rise to fame cue a heartbreak she never saw coming?
