The curse was a cruel joke written in blood and bound to time. It whispered through the centuries, waiting for its next victim. The chosen one could never escape but only delay the inevitable. Lila had time until Valentine’s Day. By midnight, she must stand at the altar, a vow sealed with the right one or she would become the last Valentine—forever lost to shadow and death. But, Lila didn’t know any of this yet, as she worked nonchalantly at the café counter. Clueless she moved through the crowded city streets, her ordinary life unraveling one breath at a time. But, somewhere in the darkness, eyes watched her every step, waiting for the moment she would learn the truth. He was one of them. One of the hunters tasked with finding her, breaking her, and ensuring she didn’t survive long enough to make a choice. Yet something deeper gnawed at him—a thread of fate tangling their destinies in ways neither could predict. It was supposed to be simple. A mission with a clear end. But Lila was unlike anything he expected. Now, time was running out. By Valentine’s Day, he must have her and she must choose. What could go wrong? Will Lila be the last valentine?
