A forensic psychologist wakes to find a murder case file in her hands, complete with her own notes detailing the killer's profile—notes she has no memory of writing. Dr. Ashworth, a woman whose expertise lies in the minds of others, suddenly finds her own mind a terrifying blank slate where a brutal crime has been etched. As she's drawn to the crime scene, details she shouldn't know about the victim and the killer flood her senses, blurring the lines between observation and memory, between professional distance and chilling personal involvement. With a detective watching her every move, she must piece together a truth that seems to implicate her own fractured consciousness. Is she merely a witness to a horrific murder, or is something far more sinister unfolding within her own psyche?
