In a world where everyone is marked by the gods, being unmarked makes you a target. Liam Goode is eighteen years old. No mark on his forehead. No spirit creature. No abilities. In the six kingdoms — where Star-borns, Moon-children, and Sun-births are sorted into tiers of divine favour — Liam is simply the Blank. The zero. The nobody. He's spent five years at Eastbourne High, the most prestigious academy on the continent, perfecting the art of being forgettable. But everything changes on his eighteenth birthday when Zola, the ancient and sarcastic goddess of change and rebellion, reveals that she's been protecting him since birth — and now she's offering him power. Suddenly, Liam has abilities no textbook can explain. But power attracts attention, and Liam soon finds himself at the center of a web of secrets centuries in the making. A new history teacher with pale eyes and a hidden agenda arrives at Eastbourne. Princesses and vessels, heroes and exiles — all drawn into Liam's orbit. With a goddess in his head, a princess who makes his heart race, and friends who would die for him, Liam Goode is about to learn that being unmarked doesn't make you powerless. It makes you dangerous.
