Everything begins to change when she restores a 300-year-old painting—or finds an old letter sealed behind a wall. --- The Past Life (Romania, 1700s): Ana was once Ilinca, a noblewoman (or maybe even a healer or accused witch), secretly in love with a man from a rival family or forbidden background — Darian, possibly a soldier, scholar, or member of a mysterious order. Something tragic tore them apart—death, betrayal, or a curse. Before dying, one of them swore they’d find the other again in another life. --- The Present-Day Romance: Ana meets Darian’s reincarnation — a Romanian-born man now living in Australia (Melbourne or the outback?).
