Scissors

The Mensah family's good days unravel with the sudden, silent snip of an unseen force, leaving their once-thriving life in ruins and their daughter Esi in a mysterious coma. Kofi, stripped of his empire, finds a pair of ancient, black-handled scissors that hum with an unsettling cold, a relic that feels less like an object and more like a question he's been asking his entire life. As a dead bird, perfectly bisected, appears on their doorstep and Esi whispers cryptic warnings from her sleep, Kofi realizes a forgotten ancestral debt is demanding its payment. But what dark covenant binds his family, and can he sever the threads of a curse before it consumes everything he has left?
