the StarForge The past is a graveyard. The future is a forge. Jaxen was a man of the 21st century—a father, an engineer, and a master of the mechanical world. But when a tear in the fabric of time drops him into the mud and blood of 9th-century England, he finds a world on the brink of extinction. The Great Drown has swallowed the maps, Viking longships haunt the coasts, and humanity is huddled in the dark, praying for a miracle. Jaxen is that miracle. Armed with the Star-Forge—a piece of transcendent technology capable of bridging the gap between steam and starlight—Jaxen doesn't just survive; he rebuilds. From the fortified walls of Winchester to the soaring spires of the "Citadel of the Star," he introduces a primitive world to the power of the rail, the glow of the electric bulb, and the lethality of the "New-World" carbine. But progress has a price. As Jaxen’s "Star-Empire" expands, he draws the eyes of kings, popes, and pagan gods. From the treacherous halls of the Frankish Court to the sun-scorched ruins of a lost Roman solar outpost in the Sahara, Jaxen must lead his elite Star-Rangers and his chrome guardian, Shadow, against those who would see the world stay in the shadows. He isn't just fighting for a kingdom. He’s fighting to ensure his daughter grows up in a world where the stars are a destination, not just a dream.

Just a super fun, absolutely unique story. PFM drops so many clones or twists on already existing tales - but this is truly original. What would you do if you could develop the modern world, personally, with your own design and civilization building system. Especially love the end - author asks you to speculate. Has a dialog about the story. Really liked this.

The story is good, but it is getting repetitive with mentioning details. Also the background noise and music while good is way too loud throughout the whole story.
