Where the Light Ends

We all have darkness inside us. The rage we bury. The cruelty we deny. The impulses we fight to keep hidden. Most of us learn to live with it. But some people surrender to it—and when that darkness is released, there may be no way to put it back. For centuries, humanity has believed good and evil were choices. What if they were something far more dangerous? In 2040, inexplicable events begin unfolding across the world. Ordinary people commit unspeakable acts. Violence erupts without warning. And as the boundary between right and wrong begins to fracture, a disturbing pattern emerges. Far above the Arctic Circle, scientists monitoring the Aurora Borealis witness a phenomenon that defies every known law of nature. The beautiful northern lights begin to pulse with an impossible force, as if something on the other side is pressing against the sky. Then the darkness begins to spread. As humanity descends into chaos, a small group of people must confront a terrifying possibility: the darkness inside us may not belong to us at all. In Boston, something has been released. Something that has been waiting. And as the boundary between Light and Dark begins to collapse, the fate of humanity may depend on those who can still hold the darkness inside. Because when the Light begins to fade, the question is no longer whether evil exists. It's whether anyone will be left to stop it.
